If you enjoyed the Ultra Act Ultraman, you will no doubt enjoy the Ultra Act Ultraman Mebius. It is done in very much the same way the regular Ultra Act Ultraman was done. Tons of articulation and great proportions. He looks very good in a standard pose.
The sculpt is really well done. The eyes are translucent which gives a really nice effect to the head.
The figure has great articulation- from head to toes. The upper chest and waist are jointed. I love the double joints that have been given to this figure. Here we see the double joints in the elbows and knees. The figure is standing on his own in this shot.
Now let's take a look at his alternate parts. Here is his Mebium Shoot which requires removing the hand and replacing it with this cool effect. Nicely done.
This is the Mebius Brace which unfortunately falls off very easily on this figure.
To create the Mebium Blade effect, the standard Mebius Brace is replaced with this blade-laden Mebius Brace.
There is also a nice soft PVC effect to create the Lightning Counter-Zero energy punch effect.
Last but not least is the color timer. Unfortunately, it is a swappable piece. I would have preferred an LED. Especially at this price point.
Overall a nice figure. I believe it's a tad on the expensive side for not having an LED effect. Build-wise, the figure is not up to par with other figures we have come to see from Bandai at this price. The figure feels light and somewhat "cheap", but you can't knock the articulation abilities of this figure. The sculpt is nice and it looks great and some on a shelf. I didn't experience any of the floppiness I had on my Ultra Act Ultraman. If you are a fan of Ultraman, you will no doubt enjoy this figure.

The only tokusatsu I've ever really liked are the Godzilla films, and most of them are pretty bad. If it wasn't for their B-grade charm & Japanese weirdness, I doubt I'd even watch them.
Having said that though, I do own about 15 Godzilla movies on DVD :)
But Amazon has the entire first series, 38 episodes, for 6.49. That's an absolutely ridiculous steal (especially if you bought the two individual sets for full retail). I really have no idea what Ultraman does once he gets to the 90's, but if you like the old Godzilla films, I don't think it's possible to dislike classic Ultraman.
Might have to look into that, and while I'm at it, maybe some Super Robot Red Baron also.
Cheap as the original series might be, they're also somewhat dated.
If you want a gateway into Ultraman, I suggest the Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends movie. Which is available subbed in both official and... *ahem* unofficial capacity.
Mebius has a relatively prominent presence in that movie as well.
