That last pic...

Is the -cutest- thing I have ever seen on this site. D'aww and thanks for a great set of pics on a toy that- if I'm honest- I don't think we always need the words for these days. (No offence meant, y'know).

I don't usually chip in on

I don't usually chip in on Macross stuff cos all I would say is "cool," but the pictures and reviews are top notch. I need some school on the black background. Keep up the good work!

As a little side note, I am

As a little side note, I am flattered that Hobby Link Japan has decided to use the GERWALK pic from this review for their Decal-ture sale. Although, if they wanted a non-watermarked version I would have been happy to provide if they had just asked :3

HA!

"It really captures the look of Mayor Millia's mature dignity and grace."
That is priceless. How does it do that, exactly? By looking like the Abe Lincoln memorial ensconced in a huge, face-obscuring helmet? :)

Nice review. While I like these, I don't love them. I might pick up a Gamlin, but that's about it. I still have a problem with the lack of coverings on the cockpit in Battroid mode. Surely Yamato could have a swappable cockpit window. Sheesh!

Almost great

Millia is one of my favorite characters in the Macross series, I’ve always dug the bold red theme and the yf-21/vf-22s is such a unique design among the Valkyries that this was an easy sell for me. It’s a standout in my ever growing fleet and looks great posed in any of the 3 modes.

This Valkyrie really ups the difficulty level when it comes to transformation process. Only after hours of practice and a lot of swearing was I able to get the hang of it.

I would really like to have seen a canopy shield included. For the price tag ¥amato slaps on these, you’d think they could kick in an extra chunk of molded plastic to complete the look.

The most maddening aspect of this Valkyrie has to be the rear landing gear. I don’t know about anyone else, but the gear on mine collapses if a gnat farts near by. Yamato usually puts super tight landing gear on their Valkyries, so this was a huge let down on an otherwise awesome toy.
