Review by JoshB
This mini vinyl is another borderline SD vinyl toy, made before the idea of SD got trendy. Perhaps it is the missing link?
The toy is cast in two different colors with Red, white, blue and gold paint. The vinyl is firm and rich in color. The head and torso are molded in grey vinyl, with the torso being painted red. The arms, legs and waist are red vinyl with white paint.
Ultraman Leo is articulated at the head, arms and waist, typical of mini-vinyl of the time.
Dare I say, little Leo looks... cute? The oversized head and exaggerated features must have really appealed to kids at the time. Seeing as how this was made almost 35 years ago, it's held up well.
This is another Tokyo Flea Market find, cost me 100 yen. Can't beat that.

Josh, I'm diggin' these Ultra-mini reviews so far. They reflect exactly why vintage minis are awesome, but oh so dangerous :P
I feel weird to say this....but I actually agree with you that Ultraman Leo looks cute, y'know for a Ultra Crusader who fights Kaiju and all, but he seriously looks cuddable. Weird..
also Leo and his bro Astra need more love. the poor brothers are like Skyrider in terms of popularity in their respective franchises where they hail from. I'd make a movie about him in fact!
