Great, detailed little set. It reminds me of one of those small commercial-grade excavators.

I have a confession to make: I've never played Halo. Does that tarnish my geek cred?

So far as I can tell, it will be the only robotic set in the 2009 beginning line, but it embodies the line’s theme as a whole enough to convince me than I need to get more of these.
(I figured publishing this on my 27th birthday could be my little present to y'all, since I used to get Lego sets when I was younger from my family... ^_^)

One of the most recent figures done by Onell Design comes from their sister company, Rawshark and Jesse Moore over at www.callgrim.com, and as the name implies this figure is known as Callgrim.

Gobon is actually the creation of Matt's wife, Michelle Doughty, who is also an excellent and talented artist in her own right. The character first appeared in issue 2 of Michelle's comic, Sidrick.

In my opinion Dygenguar is one of the coolest mecha designs from the wildly popular Super Robot Wars tactical role-playing game series....Well, except the feet.

There’s no getting around it: This robot is grotesque. But it’s not without charm. This is Frankenstein bootleg maximalism at its most psychedelic.

At Matt Doughty's house last Friday night, a few of us had the pleasure to meet kaiju painting extraordinaire, Matt Walker, also known as Dead Presidents. Seriously nice guy, amazingly talented, and humble to a fault! Along with him, he brought a few surprises: custom painted Pheydens!

MMS Type Stag Beetle Espadia is one of two Busou Shinki figures whose armor combines into a fighting robot!

Keep in mind that this really isn’t meant to be banged around like smaller sets are- this belongs on a shelf to be admired, and pulled down once in a while to dust it off, and fiddle with the features.
Video review included!

Most of us are probably already familiar with Onell Design's Glyos System Series of retro sci-fi action figures. They're definitely a local favorite of ours--especially the CDX-exclusive Wraith Pheyden, who keeps seeming to pop up in review pics!
Well, coming soon to reinforce your troops is the Phase Arm and Gobon Blaster!
