Even though there are cockpit windscreens featured on each of the five jets, they operate together under the singular consciousness of the Phoenix Galactabeast, and are never seen being boarded by any Ranger or the Magna Defender.

This set is known as the Astro Galactic Megazord to differentiate it from the original Deluxe Astro Megazord released the previous year from “Power Rangers in Space” (1997), but in-series during “PR Lost Galaxy”, it is still referred to as just the Astro Megaship.

The Deluxe Galaxy Megazord from Power Rangers Lost Galaxy is a stripped down version of the DX Gingaioh robot from Gingaman. It’s still big and heavy, but it’s nowhere as impressive as the original.
