Super Fire Convoy came in 2 different boxes. The first release had a window box
(as shown), and then later releases came in a larger closed box.

Super Fire Convoy is basically a giant fire engine that can transform into
a variety of modes. First off is your basic "Fire Commander: Fire Convoy" mode.
Convoy is the most articulated in this mode, due to the lack of armor. Everything
moves, and he even has a waist joint. In this mode, the rest of the parts combine
to form a base (not shown). The base is pretty lame - it seems like an afterthought.

The real treat is the combined mode of Super Fire Convoy. The base and Fire
Commander combine to form a truly impressive robot. You can still fit the gun
into convoy's hand in this mode, but it looks so small. There is a place on
the shoulder reserved for it in this mode. You can swing the ladder over his
shoulder and fire the missiles as well.

Transformation is easy, but the tricky thing is keeping the parts on. The
shoulder pads tend to pop off pretty easily.

In vehicle mode, Super Fire Convoy is solid, and looks fantastic. Press the
small button between the lights to activate lights and one of 5 sounds and
phrases (all in Japanese). The detail is amazing, right down to the rubber
tires with "Fire Convoy" printed on them. The missiles on the ladder have a
great action feature. One button on the back of the ladder fires all the missiles
at once! You can also press a button on the front of the ladder to pop out
  the two nozzles underneath.

Super Fire Convoy can also combine with Ultra Magnus to form God Fire Convoy.
Unfortunately, God Fire Convoy is too intricate for its own good, and looks
kind of awkward. It is a pain in the ass to assemble, and doesn't like to stand
up. Do it once to say you did, then put them back into their respective forms.

This is the best toy in the Transformers Car Robots. The US version is a pretty
faithful copy, with some minor changes for the american market, such as an
english language voice chip, and other small cosmetic changes.

:

Super Mach Alert is a repaint of the original Mach Alert from the Transformers
2000 "Car Robots" line. In the show, the three Car Brothers all get
a power boost and new paint Jobs, hence the "super".:

Super Mach Alert is a repaint of the original Mach Alert from the Transformers
2000 "Car Robots" line. In the show, the three Car Brothers all get
a power boost and new paint Jobs, hence the "super". Mach Alert is
better known in the US as Prowl.

Super Mach Alert is a Lamborghini police car. The transformation is simple
      - it's probably the easiest of all the Car Brothers. The feet unfold from
      under
the hood, and the rear splits into the arms, with the back hood becoming
a shield. The tailpipe assembly folds down onto the chest plate revealing
      the head. One
cool feature about the transformation - the feet fold in and become seats.

Super Mach Alert comes with 2 launching weapons. They aren't spring loaded
however - you just push in the back and the force of the missile going
      through the assembly
pops it out. I like this color scheme better than the original Mach Alert.
The gold is really eye-catching.

I think the toy is different enough from the original to be worth getting.
It has fantastic articulation and looks great in both modes.
.
:
