Episode V The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back is a 1980 science fantasy film directed by Irvin Kershner. It was the second film to be released in the Star Wars saga, but it is the fifth film by chronology of events. Among fans, it is commonly
referred to as TESB or ESB.
The film concerns the continuing struggles of the Rebel
Alliance to resist and fight the Galactic
Empire. The Empire learns that the Rebels have established a new base
on the ice world of Hoth.
Following a suggestion from Obi-Wan's
spirit, Luke
Skywalker begins his major Jedi training
with the wise Jedi Master Yoda.
In an emotional confrontation with Darth
Vader, Luke must face his destiny.
Debuting on May
21, 1980,
the film initially received mixed reviews, but over time, has proven to be
one of the most popular films in the series among many fans and critics.
The original 1980 version was released on VHS and LaserDisc multiple
times during the 1980s and 90s. It was re-released
with changes to theaters in 1997, and this version was later released
on VHS and Laserdisc, and finally on DVD in
2004. A 3-D release
is rumored for 2007.
The novelization was released in April 1980, and a radio
adaptation was broadcast on National
Public Radio in the United
States in 1983. (Wikipedia)

Great vintage-style figure or Greatest Vintage-style figure? You be the judge.

Cute little bounty hunters - Does it get any better?

Here’s another one of my favorite childhood characters done right in modern toy form.

Luke Skywalker in Echo Base Bacta Tank - While the set seems kind of lame on its own, the cool part of it is that it is designed to work with the FX-7 figure (sold separately).

One of my favorite Star Wars toys growing up was the FX-7 Medical Droid. Hasbro does an amazing update with this 2001 version.

Zuckuss is one of those star wars characters that people love, even though he only had seconds of screen time. He appears briefly as one of the bounty hunters on the bridge of Darth Vader’s star destroyer in Empire Strikes back, but he has been given a full back story in the expanded universe.

In addition to the Removeable helmet, Vader features a plastic lightsaber and cloth cape and clothing. This adds a real nice touch to the figure.

Boba Fett was a young clone of Jango Fett, a bounty hunter whose DNA was used to make an army of Clones for the Republic. Eventually, the Republic would become the Empire, and the Clone Troopers would become Stormtroopers. Now that we knew Jango, Boba, and all the troopers looked the same and sounded the same. We could make assumptions about what Boba Fett looked like under his helmet, but we never knew for sure'¦ Until now.

It's very cool, but definitely not a toy. It's more like a plastic statue. The detailing and sculpt of this is excellent, but it has absolutely no play value.
