The Big O manga is published in English by Viz Communications. Both seasons of the anime series have been released on DVD by Bandai Entertainment. The Big O was written by Chiaki J. Konaka, who also wrote scripts for Bubble Gum Crisis, Magic Users Club, and Serial Experiments Lain. Producers were Sunrise and Cartoon Network (during second season). The principal character of Big O is Roger Smith, a professional freelance negotiator, but the added twist on the show is the fact that he is also the pilot of Big O, an enigmatic giant robot known as a megadeus which is a creation from the world prior to "The Event". Big O is the crown jewel of the line. The styling is fantastic, and the figure has over 15 points of articulation. One drawback of the Big O is that it does not include any gimmicks, such as a piston action for the arms. Big O comes with a Roger Smith and Dorothy figurine, 3 sets of hands and a display base.

Big Duo is the enemy robot of Big O. The detailing on this figure is even better than Big O, but the large size of the arms get in the way. He can "Transform" into flight mode by removing the small wings and replacing them with larger ones. They do not fold into the arms. He only has one set of hands, but each finger on the can can move. Big Duo comes with a different Roger Smith figurine, as well as Angel.
