   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Mecha-King Ghidorah is a cybernetic kaiju that is the resurrected corpse of the classic King Ghidorah, from the 23rd century. Mecha King Ghidorah is sent back in time to fight Godzilla. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Kaiju/Mecha-King/P6016239.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>This all happens in 1991's <em><strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla_vs._King_Ghidorah">Godzilla VS Kingghidorah</a></strong></em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla_vs._King_Ghidorah"> (&#12468;&#12472;&#12521;VS&#12461;&#12531;&#12464;&#12462;&#12489;&#12521;)</a>, the 18th Godzilla film, third in the Hesei Series. The movie is one of my least favorite Godzilla movies, in fact the whole Hesei series doesnt do much for me. However - this is MECHA King Ghidorah, and anything with mecha in it is pretty damn cool.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Kaiju/Mecha-King/P6016245.jpg.html" >

<p>This soft vinyl toy features moveable legs and wings. The three heads are nicely detailed, but do not move. The toy is sold with a hanger and a card.</p>

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The toy is molded in gold vinyl with silver and red paint applications. He's an imposing figure, but like all vinyl figures, it doesn't do much.</p>

 Following right on the heels of the final yokai review, comes the final Motion-ette review...the elusive Mummy!:

 <label><p>Following right on the heels of the final yokai review, comes the final Motion-ette review...the elusive Mummy!</p><br class="giImageBlock-clear-both" />: </label>

</div>
</div><div class="flexinode-textarea-6"><div class="form-item">
 <label><p>It's not often that I lose my composure and make a purchase without reading the specifics of an auction, but the Telco Mummy Motion-ette made me do just that. I remember crawling out of bed on a lazy Sunday morning one day and heading on over to Ebay as usual. It was one week after I had already passed on a <a href="http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2340">Dracula Motion-ette</a> and I had been feeling a little bit of remorse about it. So even though I traditionally did not search for these items frequently, they were on my mind at the time. So I looked...and there it was. The Mummy.</p>
<div align="center"><div class ="giImageBlock nowrap"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Telco/Motionettes/17InchMotionettes/TheMummy/5.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/401259-3/5.jpg" width="284" height="480" class="giThumbnail" alt="The Mummy" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></div>
<p>Despite not having much experience in monster collecting, I remembered reading at the <a href="http://thegalleryofmonstertoys.com/90swing/90smainpage.html">Gallery Of Monster Toys</a> that the Mummy was "nearly impossible to find". And the fact that it was absent from nearly all the monster collections I'd seen to that point seemed to confirm the notion. And yet, there it was staring me in the face. And with a $35 Buy It Now, no less! "Click", "Confirm", "Bought". Now, time to read the item description! </p>
<div align="center"><div class ="giImageBlock nowrap"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Telco/Motionettes/17InchMotionettes/TheMummy/7.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/401261-3/7.jpg" width="212" height="480" class="giThumbnail" alt="The Mummy" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></div>
<p>Fortunately, there was nothing alarming about the auction and the seller was cool. In fact, he also had the Dracula I had passed on the week before, AND a set of <a href="http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2336">Frankenstein</a> and his <a href="http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2337">bride</a>. All 4 Motion-ettes I needed, including the rarest, all in one fell swoop to complete the set!</p>
<div align="center"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/nekrodave/2600431211/" title="Motion-ettes by nekrodave, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3120/2600431211_e529328d11.jpg" width="500" height="347" alt="Motion-ettes" /></a></div>
<p>Like the rest of the previously reviewed Motion-ettes, The Mummy here is 17" from the bottom of the base to the tip of the head. Like the <a href="http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2308">Creature</a>, The Mummy is made mostly out of vinyl. Actual cloth wrappings might have been better, but I like the way this looks, too. Nothing new as far as features is concerned. Moving head and arms compliment the light and sound effects.</p>
<div align="center"><object width="425" height="344"><br />
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/f2s-eTSPECs&amp;hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/f2s-eTSPECs&amp;hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></div>
<p>The Mummy was released in the second wave of 17" Motion-ettes, presumably in very small numbers. There was also a 24" version released and I think that is even rarer. He came packaged in the same box as the rest, with a clear cellophane window on the front. Although considered rare, I'd bet that this is exactly the kind of item that is out there, waiting to be found at a flea market or a yard sale of someone who doesn't know what they have. Keep your eyes open! </p>

Jet Jaguar is a robot created by inventor Goro Ibuki. The robot fights alongside Godzilla to defeat Megalon and Gigan. According to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_Jaguar">Wikipedia</a>, Jet Jaguar is the result of a contest Toho had in 1972 for fans to create a new character. Originally the movie was just going to be Jet Jaguar and Megalon, but Toho added Godzilla into the film fearing Jet Jaguar would not carry it on its own. </p>

<div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Kaiju/Jet/P6135578.jpg.html" >

</div>

<p>Jet Jaguar's main power is the ability to fly and increase his size. </p>
<p>This soft vinyl figure is about 6&quot; tall and part of the 2006 Movie Monsters line. The figure is a really nice representation of the fan-favorite character. Jet Jaguar has not gotten a lot of love in the past from toy companies, so I am glad Bandai stepped up to the plate. The figure only has three points of articulation, but the paint and detail are excellent. </p>

<div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

<p>Now, if they can only make a diecast Jet Jaguar.... </p>

 Of all the different styles of Godzilla over the years, this one is by far my favorite. This is the Godzilla I grew up with, which made it a must-buy for me.:

<p>Godzilla 1968 comes from the classic Godzilla flick, Destroy All Monsters. It is a silly monster movie, but I think that is why I like it so much. Tis style of godzilla is named "Soshingeki-Goji"</p>

<div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

<p>This toy is a repaint of a vinyl Godzilla that originally came packaged with the Godzilla 50th Anniversary box set. The paint scheme is much darker this time around.</p>

<p>Godzilla 1968 stands 160mm (about 6&quot; tall) is articulated at the arms and legs. This is such a nice toy and it is very inexpensive. In japan this toy retails for about 735 yen. Here in the states, you can get it for around 11 bucks. </p>

 This Destoroyah is from Bandai&#039;s Movie Monsters line. These were released in Japan in 2001, and some made their way to comic shops in the USA in 2002 (I got mine from Newbury Comics).:

<p>It's a slight recolor from an earlier 1998 release. The figure is about 6" tall, vinyl, and has articulated wings and legs. Destoroyah is made out of soft vinyl with a fantastic paint job.</p>
