CollectionDX - Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy (Japanese: ファイナルファンタジー Fainaru Fantajī) is a popular series of role playing games produced by Square Enix (originally Square Co., Ltd.). It may be the most widely distributed game series of all time, including both
  standard console games
  and portable
  games, a massively
multiplayer online role-playing game, games for mobile
  phones, three anime productions,
and two full length CGI films.
The first installment of the series premiered in Japan in
1987, and Final Fantasy games have subsequently been localized for
  markets in North
  America, Europe and Australia,
  on several modern video
  game consoles, including the Nintendo
  Entertainment System, the MSX
  2, the Super
  Nintendo Entertainment System, the PlayStation,
  the WonderSwan
  Color, the PlayStation
  2, IBM
  PC compatible, Game
  Boy Advance, Nintendo
GameCube, and several different models of mobile
phones. Future installments have been announced to appear on the Nintendo
  DS, Nintendo
  Revolution, PlayStation
  Portable, PlayStation
  3 and Xbox
360 game systems. It is Square Enix's most successful franchise, having
sold over 60 million units worldwide to date.
As of late 2005, ten games have been released in the U.S. as part of the main
(numbered) series, as well as many other spinoffs and related titles. The unreleased
third entry in the series is an upcoming Nintendo DS release. North American
release details have not been announced. (Wikipedia)

Iron Giant

I got this figure because a woman in my office gave it to me. Someone had gotten it for her young son, and she thought it was inappropriate due to all the sharp points. People around here know I love inappropriate things, so it was only logical that I get it.:

Officially, this figure is marked as "Final Fantasy VIII Action Figure Series 3 Monster Collection Item Number 44". It comes blister carded and was distributed in the USA by Diamond Comics Distribution in 1999

I got this figure because a woman in my office gave it to me. Someone had gotten it for her young son, and she thought it was inappropriate due to all the sharp points. People around here know I love inappropriate things, so it was only logical that I get it.

It’s a cool little figure. It’s well built, solid and has nice detail. Despite the large amount of mass, it stands nice and firm. There are 7 points of articulation, and the toy comes with a big-ass sword. But the character does nothing for me. It was nice enough office decoration, but into the trade / sale bin it goes.

harp, a base, and a little cactus figure named Cactuar. She is articulated
at the neck, shoulders, and elbows, hips, knees and ankles.

Sounds Impressive? It's not. This figure is a piece of crap.

First off, the figure can't stand, and although she has many points
of articulation, she can't do much with them. None of the joints
are ball-joints. She comes with a 2-piece stand, which does not fit together.
I had to cut out the hole of the stand with a hobby knife to make it fit.
She can barely hold on to her harp accessory.

Not fun.

Cactuar, who looks like a prickly swastika, is useless. He does not stand
on his own, and the base provides no place for him.

The figure looks okay on its own. The sculpt and paint are really nice,
but it is ridiculously overpriced. I got it at 75% off, and I feel I was
overcharged. Unless you are a die-hard Final Fantasy fan, skip it.
