Unike the original toy, this one has no action feature. The Turbo Megazord does include a sword and a shield.

As far as I know, this toy was never released in Japan. You have to wonder though if the designers knew about the rich history of translucent Japanese toy robots. Or perhaps they were designed in Japan but sold only in the USA? Either way, these toys were overlooked at the time of their release. They're surprisingly hard to find now, so if you come across one, pick it up.

Bandai America released at 4 X-Ray zords - the Red Lightspeed Racer, the Green Turbo Megazord and 2 Clear versions.

If you are looking for a Megazord with a good solid metal feel, then the Omega Megazord is right for you. The Omega Megazord is one of the few Megazords to remain relatively intact through its transition to the domestic market.:

If you are looking for a Megazord with a good solid metal feel, then the Omega Megazord is right for you. The Omega Megazord is one of the few Megazords to remain relatively intact through its transition to the domestic market.

The Omega Megazord comes from the series Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. Its original name is the Victory Mars Chogokin DX Meteor Combination GD-18, from the series Rescue Task Force GOGO V, which ran in Japan from 1999 to 2000.

5 Megazords combine to form the Omega Megazord.

Each Omegazord has various guns and landing gear that can fold in and out. You can combine the 5 megazords to form an alternate mode, called the Omega Crawler.

In robot mode, the Omega Megazord stands about 11"tall and is very heavy and solid. It looks fantastic. It comes with a giant spear that launches the head off. This spear can also be mounted on the Supertrain Megazord via the included clips.

By far one of my favorite Megazords, the Supertrain Megazord is almost 18" of chunky plastic love. I don't know why I didn't jump at this toy when it came out, and I even passed on it when it was on clearance. How stupid I was.:

The Supertrain is made of 5 trains called Rail Rescues. Each Rail Rescue has a compartment that can fit either Rescue Megazords or Omegazords. Each train car is color coded, and has a space that fits that particular vehicle.

The 5 Rail Rescues combine to become the Supertrain Megazord. The transformation is one of the simplest of any Megazord. Big and sturdy, this is one your kids will love. Articulation is limited to the shoulders and opening hands, but it doesn't matter. This is a great toy.

The Supertrain Megazord was originally released as the DX Grand Liner from the Japanese Sentai series Rescue Task Force GOGO V. The toy appears to be identical to the domestic release.

The toy comes with 5 Rail Rescues, a sticker sheet, and 4 antennae for the #1 and 2 Rail Rescues. The Omega Megazord comes with a clip that allows you to attach the cannon from the Omega Megazord to the back of a Rail Rescue.

(Editors note: I'm missing the 4 antennae from the trains. If you have them and want to sell them, contact me.)
