It doesn’t raise the bar as far as DX toys go, but it doesn’t drop that 32-year-old ball either.

The Konami Great Impact Model Gurren Lagann is Konami’s first (that I know of) foray into the world of high-end diecast toys. It was only a matter of time really, seeing the success of similar lines by Bandai, Takara, Yamato and CM’s. I’m happy to report that this thing is awesome.

Heck if I know what "GN-U" stands for, but let me tell ya, as someone who's not particularly fond of modern gokin "collectibles" of classic Japanese super robots, Yamato's "The 'GN-U' Hagane" Groizer-X is a pleasant surprise.

Does your toy collection suffer from too many robots? Too many manly blocks of zinc with firing fists and missiles? Have we got the toy for you. The Revoltech Jun is just the thing to get in touch with your feminine side.

Revoltech Suzuki comes from the Japanese video game "Doko Demo Issyo", which means "Everywhere Together"

I'm not saying this isn’t a good toy – in some respects it’s a great toy. The engineering on each individual piece is marvelous. It is only in the connection of the two that the toy fails horribly. Oh yeah, and the fact that its about 300 bucks.

Not as big as advertised, but this large size Godzilla figure from Bandai Creation is a real bargain.
