Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator Scimitar can streak silently and invisibly through space utilizing its cloaking capabilities. Hidden beneath the side panels and mounted on the wings are launchers that fire probe droids or missiles, depending on whether the craft’s pilot is on a mission to seek or destroy his intended target. The wings flare open, greatly increasing the craft’s speed and attack maneuverability. Darth Maul flies his Sith Infiltrator to the planet Tatooine during his quest to find Queen Amidala (Padme).

Today I will be reviewing the Sith Infiltrator from Hasbro's Star Wars 30th anniversary collection. It comes packaged in a nicely illustrated 30th anniversary box with the ship and a pic of its pilot Darth Maul on the front.

Removing the Sith Infiltrator from its box is a snap with hardly any assembly involved. All you need to due is snap on the two front panels and your off! No pain to apply stickers involved, this is a trend I wish Hasbro would stick with. The ship is constructed of nice high quality materials making it very sturdy with a nice feel.

The first four pictures give you a quick walk around the ship. Notice that this ships design just looks plain mean! This thing just oozes with Dark side of the Force.

Front view with the wings open really give away this ships TIE fighter lineage. I almost think that from the side with the wings open it looks a little like a Top Fuel Dragster.

The next 2 photo's give you a view of the nicely detailed bottom side and top of this ominous looking vessel. Note the button on the bottom of the cockpit, when pressed it opens the side wings. Also the landing gear is adjustable and removable.

The top opens to reveal Darth Mauls comfortable, well appointed, detailed cockpit.

In the next four photo's you get to see my favorite feature about this ship. The front end of the ship splits open to reveal even more fire power. Included in this concealed array of weapons is 2 spring loaded missile or droid launchers. You can use either of the two different supplied projectiles shown in the third and fourth pictures..

I love this ship, I feel it's one of the coolest Star War's vehicles released to date. Even though the scale is off, Hasbro was still able to pull off a good looking feature packed toy with tons of play value. If you don't have it, get it! You can still find it cheap enough on Ebay.

Call me a heretic if you must, but like the Millennium Falcon, I can't quite get into the buzz from this one despite its high praise from fans everywhere else. It just always looks like it's flying backwards because it is the ancestor of the TIE Fighters (like Darth Vader's).

Having said that, this is a pretty awesome toy! Do the landing gear retract, or are they removable?

Hi Eva,
The landing is adjustable and removable, unfortunately it does not retract. Good call asking this question because I forgot to add that in the review. Its all fixed now

This is definitely one of my favorite SW vehicles too. Of course, it doesn't hurt any that it's Darth Maul's ship either.

I bought the SW Transformers version of this because of its smaller size, and tf'ing gimmick, but this one looks really awesome too.
