nice review, but for the record, i still prefer ActionWorks version of the metal heroes: gavan, sharivan, and shaider. they have a bit higher degree of articulation

life needs to be bittersweet;
you work the sweet side, and i'll manage to embitter it.

Cool figure, but that head is freaky... are there figures in this line of the characters us youth would remember from VR Troopers? That and Big Bad Beetle Borgs were always my favorite after the first run of MMPR.

While I do have all 3 of these SH Space Sheriffs, I've noticed that my SH Shaider figure's "rear" is prone to paint chipping. I guess I must have gotten a defective one but that's just about it.

 Actually, younger US TV

 Actually, younger US TV viewers would recognize several of the Metal Hero series.

The two seasons of "Saban's VR Troopers" (1994-96) were based off of three of the shows- "Uchuu Keiji Shaider" (1984), "Jikuu Senshi Speilban" (1986), and "Choujinki Metalder" (1987).

"Saban's Big Bad Beetleborgs" (1996) was based on "Juukou B-Fighter" (1995). The second season, "Saban's Beetleborgs Metalix" (1997), was based on "B-Fighter's" own in-continuity sequel, "B-Fighter Kabuto" (1996).

That's five shows that came over, though they have little resemblance to their Americanized counterparts.

. . .

 There were two more Metal Hero series after "B-Fighter Kabuto"- called "B-Robo Kabutack" (1997) and "Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack" (1998)- but these were not brought over, and they are, officially, the last of the Metal Hero series.

. . .

 In the opposite direction, however, the American movie "RoboCop" (1987) served as the inspiration for two of the series as well- "Kidou Keiji Jiban" (1989) and "Tokusou Robo Janperson" (1993)!
