This is what the Soul of Chogokin line is all about. Mazinger Z (OVA) is my favorite SOC so far. Its design is simple enough to be played with as a toy, but is detailed enough to be an anime-accurate collectors item. You never feel as though you are going to break something when you pick this one up.

The GX-07 does not come with a lot of accessories. You get 3 sets of hands, 3 sets of forearms (regular, rocket punch, and Iron Cutter type), as well as a base and 2 white hover pilders. It has all the standard SOC articulation, but adds a chest joint, so Mazinger Z can execute his "Breast Fire" attack.

Why is the Pilder white? Well, this version of Mazinger Z is based on the version found in the Mazinkaiser OVA. OVA stands for Original Video Animation. The design of this Mazinger Z is substantially different than that of the original Mazinger Z SOC.

If you have the GX-01, or GX-01R, you may be wondering "Is this worth it?". My opinion is yes. This is a great SOC and worthy of any collection.
