I went with the A-team van. I wanted one since the old Galoob toy, but it ended up being a PoS that made the Galoob version still the best 25 years later. You'd think a company that has it's primary business as 1/18 die-cast car manufacturer would ace this, but instead it's crappier than a vinyl van I got at the supermarket in 1984, and at $30 it's a ripoff to boot.
Some of these I feel aren't worth the votes given that things like figures are easy to see if they're crappy, and if it sucks you're out maybe $8 or so. Some of these are $50-$300 and if you buy it and find it's junk, you're out quite a bit and you're pissed.
"It's the A-Team, soldiers of fortune. It's the A-Team, helping people in need. You can pretend like you're Hannibal, Murdock or Face, or maybe BA Baracus, you know each one is an ace!"
Saturday morning cartoon commercials burned that into my skull.
... watching everyone complain about what is or isn't in the voting. LOL
I really don't think the Transforming Thomas should be eligible for this. It's a KO. It's widely known to be a KO. If you thought a KO would be of amazing quality...
Having the displeasure of owning it I had to go with the Maia Sterling Shadow Fighter. I wanted so hard for them to have fixed that toy, but after going through two of them I got my money back. (Then dropped the change to get a CM's Legioss and Tread so I'd have something fun.)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who voted for Grendizer.
Why is MAX Gokin Dragonar-1 on this list? I realize some folks were disappointed with the diecast content, but to lump it in with crap like the A-Team and Tron Legacy figures seems a slight bit harsh.
I think it stems more from the fact that it's a disappointment given the fact that it's a $300 Max Gokin toy that is more plastic than metal, especially when compared to the other MAX Gokin releases. I was set on getting it until I found out it was plastic. My Soul SPEC ones are plastic with metal frames and I got both Dragonars and the Falguen for less than the price of this.
Nowadays the toys is marked down to a somewhat reasonable price, but the review was made when when it was the same price as the other MAX Gokins, and that's criminal, especially if you bought one not knowing it was plastic.
I am honored to have reviewed four of the worst toys of the year.
Revoltech VF-1A Triple Transforming has got my vote. To do yet another transformable VF-1 and making it look bad.
I gotta be prejudice here- I want those two Goseiger toys to, umm, "win" Worst Toy. F'kin HATE those things.
