Travela
Travela is the creation of graffiti artist and painter Jeffrey "Doze" Green. It is the first Doze piece to be made into toy form, and was sold in boutique stores in New York and Los Angeles. Only 3000 Travela figures were made, and each has a plate with the Doze signature and a serial number attached on the left sole of the boots. Travela is the first in the "Neospecies" line of vinyl toys from Doze. Travela went on sale in Tokyo in June 2003 for ¥8800. The figure is about 8" tall, and comes in a beautiful foil embossed box. The detail and paint on Travela are phenomenal. It looks like a drawing come to life. Travela has articulation at the arms and legs, but also features a telescoping antenna. The two briefcasesTravela holds contain turntables, with records that spin and an arm that moves. This figure is a work of art. Thanks Roger. Submitted by JoshB on 5 July, 2004 - 15:22. |
