Takashi Murakami created this exclusive "Strange Melting DOB" figure for issue 71 of the Japanese Hobby Magazine "Figure Oh". It was limited to 50,000 pieces, this particular piece being number 25,595.

Murakami is a world famous artist, with shows in Tokyo, New York and Boston, as well as curating the "Super Flat" exhibit of contemporary Japanese artists. his work appears on t-shirts, posters, key-chains, and toys worldwide.

DOB is made out of vinyl, 2 inches tall, and manufactured by Kaiyodo. The base is a separate piece, and DOB just rests on it.

Strange Melting DOB is part of the Superflat Museum Series.
