Fire Engine Bot
Fire Engine Bot could once be found amongst bootleg toys at Big Lots, but now
has become a rarity. Hailing from the same family as Bus Bot and Train Bot,
Fire Engine Bot is clearly made by a bootleg toy maker, but is an original
design.
Fire Engine Bot comes with instructions, a sword and gun, and in truck mode features a telescoping ladder. Transformation is simple, reminiscent of Optimus Prime. Fold the legs down, swing the arms out from the side of the cab, and flip the head up. Small tabs slide the arms out. Construction is sturdy - the robot is all plastic, with some stickers for details. He's about 7" long in vehicle mode, and about 6" tall in robot mode. The only clue to the maker we have is that it was distributed by Midwestern
Home Products, Inc. This company is an in-house distribution company for Big
Lots. Odds are they get all their bootlegs from a manufacturer in China, re-package
them, and sell them in the states. Submitted by JoshB on 4 December, 2004 - 23:01. |
