Animated at last-!!
I Li-i-i-ive, mwahahahaha!!!
[[SPOILER ALERT: If you have not seen "Evangelion: 1.0- You Are (Not) Alone" (2008), then skip past the video!]]
This comes from a pachinko machine (i.e. a type of Japanese pinball) released in 2008 to coincide with the theatrical debut of "Evangelion: 1.0- You Are (Not) Alone".
For those who don't know, Evangelion Unit-04 ("Evangelion Yongōki") was the third Production Model produced by NERV at their Second Branch in the USA. Unfortunately, during circumstances not fully explained (and left wide open to interpretation), Unit-04 exploded and took over 500sq. miles of the Nevada desert with it. It was never seen on-screen (including fourteen years later when the same explosion occured during "Evangelion: 2.0- You Can (Not) Advance", goddammit!), and only mentioned in dialogue. Fortunately, the black-and-white EVA Unit-03 survived, and was immediately shipped to Japan.
Unit-04 is only spoken of, but never seen on-screen even in schematics. However, the official Studio Gainax description is that it is identical to Unit-03, except that its coloring is primarily silver with black, dark red, & white highlights, and it was the first to use the remote-controlled Dummy Plug rather than a human pilot to control its action(s).
But, as you can see from the video above, the livery for Unit-04 has been updated to conform to the ones seen in Rebuild of Evangelion.
Though this video is obviously out of canon (unless someone at Studio Khara caves to fan pressure...), this makes the only-known & authorized animation of my namesake.
Well... at least I know the official version doesn't suck in appearance like Rebuild Unit-05 does. Hellz yes!!!

The song heard during my pwnage, "Shuuketsu no sono he", is performed by accomplished singer/songwriter Megumi Hayashibara (the Japanese seiyu of Rei Ayanami from Evangelion).
