Stunned to silence then,

Stunned to silence then, huh...? LoL

Well, in that case, that's where it's nice to have stats on the number of people who have visited the page/site available to all (at least the staff). But, I've already had that discussion with Josh several times over the years. (Ha-ha- for the last two years, he mailed me a print-out of CDX's general stats on visits, like a X-mas card!)

If I had [instant] assurances that people were at least going to my pages, then I'd know I was doing something right. (It took almost 5 years to find out I was being too word-y and needed fewer linked-images in my reviews specifically because no one ever made a comment on what I was doing!)

Coincidentally, I said in the review that a lot of people seem to give Jolt the cold shoulder routine without reason... Well, there's the proof right there! ;D

I know the feeling

It is funny, I spent a lot of effort doing a code 3 review, was excited because of the item and how long i took to write...then zero hits or comments....so I know your pain. I actually have had a hard time motiovating my self to do a another reviw since then..
Nice montage of pictures BTW...keep up the good work.

Do it for the love

I don't worry so much about comments. In fact, I'm usually shocked if I get any. I do it because I love the toys and in the event that, now or in the future, other people like them too, then the information is available for them. Recognition is nice, for sure, but I would never let the lack of it prevent me from doing this. As long as Josh says I can, I will. :)

This is a nice toy and I

This is a nice toy and I kind of knew it was a silent winner who should not be judged by Hasbro's materials. Because, let's face it, when was the last time they did their pictures properly?

I don't comment TF stuff to often because I deal with them on a daily basis and I don't find them something that I need to share my opinion on with others, unless it's an exceptional or a tragic toy. With Non-TF it's completely different, because these are something new and different for me, not to mention in most cases there are very low chances for me to buy them in the future- I think there were only three times when I spent more than 100 dollars on toys (with shipping).

I understand how you feel about the lack of comments- every reviewer wants to have evidence their creation is good, a sign that their work is acknowledged and as good as we try to make them. In a way, we are attention seekers whether we want it or not- I'm checking my YT ratings everyday and often get frustrated that less than 20 per cent of my videos brake the 1K view threshold even when I do something new to YT, like Microman reviews. What's worse, my polish videos are watched far more than the english-ones. Then again, people complain that they don't understand a thing if their not my native speakers, which pretty much demotivates me to run the english part of my channel.

And then appears this annoying question- am I doing my share for the satisfaction I get from it, or for the attention and I've sadly noticed that the former for photo-reviews, which are my strongest hobby-related talent and the latter for my video content, which I started to do quite late in my 6-year toy photographer career.

The point is, to make our job fully enjoyable for us, we need to get rid of our lust for attention and start concentrating on the fun we have in the production of our content. It's not easy, I know from looking at my own case, but if we don't start solving this problem, it'll only get worse.
