Toy Fair 2005: Yamato

Yamato had an impressive presence this year at Toy Fair, with an an entire showroom full of great Japanese toys. They had a lot of new product on hand such as the Melquiya Scopedog, UniFive Huckbein Mk II and some Hard Suits from Bubblegum Crisis.

Armored Troops Votoms 1/12 Scopedog

Measuring over 12.5" and constructed of over 300 individual parts, this Scopedog is one of a kind, fully articulated and loaded with features. Featured is removable armor plating, rotating telescopic lens, special internal spring mechanisms for simulation of arm punch and stand-by modes, and concealed wheels in the base of the feet for gliding action. Even more, the cockpit opens with accommodating seating for the Chirico Cuvie action figure (sold separately). Window boxed, the Scopedog comes with the Scopedog's GAT-22 heavy machine gun with removable magazine and extra set of hands.

The red shoulder version shown was for display only and is not going to be offered for sale in the United States.

Zeorymer

Zeorymer from Hades Project Zeorymer. Measuring over 7", Zeorymer is the second (IDEON being the first) in a line of action figures paying tribute to the Giant Robots of Japanese anime. Collectors will appreciate the figure's detachable parts allowing simulation of a number of action sequences from the anime. Comes in two paint versions.

Ideon

Measuring approximately 7.5" (1/600 scale), Yamato's Ideon features an impressive 26 points of articulation for astounding posability. Ideon also comes packaged in a stylish collector's window box with an extra set of hands; but not his mini black hole canon, for obvious reasons.

Bubblegum Crisis

Shown were two "Hard Suits" from the anime Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040. The blue is Priss, and the green is Linna. Both are fully articulated, plastic, and feature a base for display. These looked amazing.

Range Murata PSE Solid Collection
