Okay, this is *completely* deserving of the monicker, "Hot Toy"!

Honestly, though, I'm kinda hoping that some company comes out with a "chogokin" movie Iron Man. Basic articulation, not too many features/gimmicks...but just loads of diecast painted super-glossy (or even better--chrome!).

I'm thinking the size of your typical hero robot SoC, like Mazinger Z...just drop some articulation in favor of raw diecast content, and lose the needless gimmicks. Just a forearm missile launcher on one arm and maybe a shooting fist on the other (hey, why not!? :P ).

I guess what I'm after is a Popy ST-style, heavy diecast figure of Iron Man. And a toy, damnit! Not an "adult collectible", like an SoC!

I just picked this up last night fromToy Square, my favourite store in Toronto.
Sweet Jimminy Crickets this thing is cool. The lights, the sculpt... the posability... it kicks serious anatomy.
The face plate for the alternate head clips on with sturdy magnets (but don't fly it around like a madman or you'll launch the face plate accross the room toward your cat and in a panic and spill piping hot coffee all over myself!)
I wouldn't mind a 1/6 scale crushed sportscar to put him on!
