Pocco's quality issue

I am a big fan of Revoltech products. I have over 25pcs. Pocco is the first Fraulein for me. (maybe my last). As Josh B mentioned, he is not the only one with QC problem. I find the softer ABS plastic doesn't really provide enough support. There is too many visible cut lines in the should/upper arm, the thighs etc. (Not as clean as the G1) The softer ABS does allow for greater sculpt details. My only gripe about the sculpt is the eyes. They look wooden and not focused.

The peg that connect the left shoulder to the left upper arm keeps detaching. I try gluing numerous times. I finally resort to play doctor and insert a metal pin to secure the peg. But regardless, it is almost impossible to raise the arm with the sword in hand. The joints does not give enough support.

Also the revoltech joints used in this figures seems less ratched than the G1 figures.

Pocco is a great fix figure, not really that possible.

These problems with Pocco

These problems with Pocco have been an issue with all of the Fraulein line. But from what I have seen, pocco is actually the best one yet. I have read tons of horror stores with Rin and Rei, less so with Asuka, and eve less so with Pocco. So while they are getting better, the basic design may have some fundamental flaws. The only Fraulein I have any interest in at this point is the upcoming Yoko from Gurren Lagann. I hope the improvements have come aplenty by the time she arrives.

As far as the ratchety-ness with the Revoltech joints. It's kinda luck of the draw. Most are fine, but every once in a while, I will get one that is loose and hardly ratchets at all. I don't think its specific to any character, just a fact of life when it come to a mass-produced part.

Good review.
