DX Liner Boy comes form the series Rescue Task Force GOGO V, which aired in Japan from 1999-2000. In the USA, this toy was called Max Solarzord from Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.

The toy is about 11" tall in robot mode, and is all plastic. Some stickers need to be applied. The toy is molded in color, and has some great gold chrome parts that really make this piece stand out. There is virtually no articulation - Liner Boy can only move his arms. He comes with a reflective gold shield weapon.

In vehicle mode, (called Max Shuttle), Liner Boy acts as a solar powered space shuttle, that can also connect with the DX Grand Liner. The wings can fold up to act as a train car on the ground.

On its own, Liner Boy is a mediocre toy. It doesn't do much, and isn't much to look at. But the real fun begins when you combine it with other toys from GoGo V. Victory Robo and Liner Boy can combine to form Max Liner Robo. What a crazy beautiful mess that becomes. You can also add Liner Boy to the front of Grand Liner, to form an even longer train.

Liner Boy came over to the USA as Max Solarzord, with relatively few changes. There are minor paint differences, such as silver paint on the arms, and some minor sticker changes, most notably, the removal of the word "Maxliner" from the wings.
