This sounds like a pretty impressive piece of Blaxploitation based cinema. It's a shame that it's only available on VHS.

The second movie is available on DVD though. Speaking of which, is the sequel worth getting? I mean, I probably won't buy it unless it's as...I dunno, "street" as the first one.

I didn't listen yet, but my friend works at a coffee shop that Jim Kelly frequents in La Jolla CA. The only reason she knew who he was? Because he TOLD her he's a Kung Fu hero. Something like, "Do you know who I am?" out of the blue. I'm trying to arraange a meeting.

"Man, you are right out of a comic-book" is the first thing I'm gonna say to him...

@Daikengo: What? Black Belt Jones is out on DVD. I have the DVD. That's what we watched. This exact disc here is what I have.

As for the second movie, the main problem with is it that it's more Hong Kong. Basically that means it is not so jive and the super sad thing is it was dubbed into Cantonese (probably Mandarin too) and the US release is a US dub over the Cantonese dub and Jim Kelly dubbed is just a crying shame. We will probably review it sooner or later. Glad you like our show!

@Gigamach: Hahaha. That's awesome. I would love to meet Jim Belly. He's a badass. He's cooler than Shaft and that is saying a lot.
