NYTF08: KotobukiyaSubmitted by JoshB on 22 February, 2008 - 15:45.
Here is a look at some of the product on display. Star Wars stuff is going to get its own article. Devil May CryArmored CoreThese model kits look really nicely detailed. I can't wait to build one.PatlaborI love Patlabor. I hope Kotobukiya continues to do more supplementary mecha from the series in kit form.Super Robot WarsThese are the original robots from the SRW games. The size of that horse is MASSIVE. These kits are shown as they would come out of the box - no paint or putty has been done here.Display StandThese are neat modular parts that can be constructed to form a sort of hangar for your models.Pirates of the CarribeanEvangelionIndiana Jones The Indiana Jones license is also new for Kotobukiya. Henry Jones comes with 2 different umbrellas, Indy comes with a removable hat and wire-filled whip that can be curled and stored. He also has an interchangable hand so instead of a whip he can hold a gun.MarvelNot a lot of Marvel product on display, but a lot is in the works including products from the new HULK and IRON MAN movie.HaloI don't play Halo, but damn these things look amazing. I love the honeycomb energy barrier effect. Yes, thats included with the kit.Shunya YamashitaShunya Yamashita is like the hottest thing in anime statues right now. These statues feature METAL weapons!Dead or AliveThese figures feature removable outfits so they can be displayed with regular clothes or bathing suits.

I've got the Daizenger that came out several months ago, sans horse. It's really a nice looking piece to display, very Dangiaoh-ish. I'd like the horse, but no luck for a standalone one I guess.
Koto is arguably as good as Bandai with injection kits, quality-wise, they just can't match the sheer volume Bandai can put out.
This isn't really a model kit site, but if you get a kit here and there, that one won't disappoint.
