I'd actually like an answer to that myself. I suspect that it was a cheap excuse to make it look like a sensor unit of some kind even though there is supposed to be nothing but electronics in there; there's no human remains inside the Battle Arachnoid's mini-robot. <b>. . .</b> But in regards to the Shadow Crawlers, those are prison pods that the robots use to hold captured Exo-Force personnel until they can be placed in a more proper holding cell and then interrogated. In the official online comic, HaYaTo was once captured by a Shadow Crawler for a few minutes before Hitomi rescued him in her own the Blazing Falcon (included in the <b>Mobile Devastation</b> set). From what I've read, and as I indicated in the Shadow Crawler's review, when the robots assaulted Sentai Mountain after the first rebellion, they took hostage thousands of human miners & families. As we saw in the Shadow Crawler, the robots are stealing humans. And now they're making cyborgs with human brains! You just can't put something so vile, unnerving and evil in the toy's text.
