It's a tough call alright! I don't even have Masinger Z yet, but Great Masinger is awesome so it gets my vote...just...Irongear and Ideon were close...

Now THAT was a tough choice to make. I have soc Ideon, kotobukiya vader vs luke and the brave gokin griffon.
Eventually I went with the brave gokin griffon just because it's all black and heavy and has FABRIC(!) covering the joints... And because that's the only figure I've been totally blown away by when I took it out of the box the first time.

Should we still vote even if we have never handled the toys in person? Just based on the collectiondx review,I'd have to pick Ideon,but for all I know,it's a piece of crap in real life.

Shin Getter 2

I love Mazinger Z, and I own the Fewture 1969 figure. However, the release of the Shin Getter 2 from Aoshima was the best thing since sliced bread (well... you get my point). Imagine, having all generations of the Getter Robo family - in Die Cast!!!

Aoshima's Shin Getter 2 gets my vote... now, hurry up and release the Shin Getter 3!!!

I'm hitting a cross-roads in my collecting where I'm seriously considering selling off all my modern gokin...but I'll have to think twice about that Shin Getter 2 (and, more importantly, the prospect of a Shin Getter 3)
