FAQ: Adding images to reviews and articlesSubmitted by JoshB on 2 March, 2007 - 14:53.
There is now a fairly easy method of adding images to a review or article. Under the content field there is a link called add Gallery2 images. Place your cursor in the body where you want the image to appear, and then click the add Gallery2 images link.
A window will pop up (make sure you allow pop-ups from CollectionDX if you have a pop-up blocker.) At the top you have a section called Current Album. This path will show where you are in the photo gallery. Under that is Subalbums. Use this drop down to select a sub album until you get to the album that has the images you previously uploaded and hit Go.
Once you arrive at your target album, you should see a page of thumbnails that looks something like this:
Clicking any thumbnail on this page will insert the code for the image where you left your cursor previously. This will add a 600 px image centered in your page. You don't need to touch any other setting if you just want to add a large image in your review. Advanced OptionsNow, say you want a small thumbnail, either left or right justified. You need to check the advanced options box and then click a thumbnail. The page will now look like this:
You are now presented with a series of options
The ones I find I use often is Thumbnail with link to image and Text link to image. Alignment classThis is where you can play with the alignment of your images. Under Alignment Class there is a dropdown with the following options:

In case you are wondering "What is this red and white mecha in these pictures?", well- that's the DX Kinkyuu Gougou Gattai Siren Builder from the 2006 30th-Anniversary Super Sentai series "Gougou Sentai Boukenger" (aka the non-released Flash Point Megazord from the 2007 15-year Anniversary series "Power Rangers Operation Overdrive")... which I reviewed for CDX, thankyouverymuch!
Alas- that one of the least favorite parts of my collection shall live on eternally on the internet. (*sarcastically*): Thanks a lot, Josh-!
