Toy of the Year voting begins!

Thanks to the fine folks at Zinc Panic, we have a new non-denominational T.O.T.Y. That means the entire Japanese toy collecting family gets their say.

From the site:

"There are three new twists this time around. First of all, TOTY 2006 is a non-denominational vote. This year's insanity is not limited to ToyboxDX, Zinc Panic, CollectionDX, Waist-Joint, 2chan or any of the other myriad Japanese Toy Robot fan sites. If you like (or, even better, actually own) Japanese robots, we welcome your participation.

Secondly, TOTY is now a multi-category contest. You can vote for the Best Toy, the Worst Toy, or Best Toy Crack. We define "toy crack" as any item that retailed for under 3,000 yen.

And thirdly, the rules are slightly different this year. Please, for the love of gokin, spare a moment to read them before hammering that submit button.

In order for the toy to make the 'voting' list, it must be nominated and receive two seconds. Each user gets gets one TOTY nomination per category. You can nominate a toy, or second one, but you have to choose wisely - you only get one vote in each category.

Let the nominations begin; we will be collecting them until December 20th!"

You can see CollectionDX's list of toys released in 2006 here, but keep in mind, only JAPANESE toys count.
