I believe it is from a manga:

"Dai Sword is a leading role mechanism of the popular comic "Gouseiken Dai Sword" by Yuichi Hasegawa serialized in 1993 to 1997. "

studio half eye = the top of the collectible robot pyramid

this is another stunning piece by the masters.
although i like metal in my toys, the hard resin used to make studio half eye gives them a unique quality that has value in itself. if metal-heavy chogokin is like a peter luger steak, then these are like the most exquisite pieces of sushi.

the transformations, which can be bewilderingly complicated, make enjoying these toys a more active-- and nerve wracking-- experience.

the perfect change shin getter 2 seems made by aliens for aliens and is my favorite piece in my collection. and the detailed paint applications on the gaiking daiku maru are stunningly perfect. i own 7 pieces by them, and value them over all of my yamato, soc, third party and masterpiece tf stuff.

although i do not own their grungust and dangaoih, which retailed for nearly a grand from the start, i intend to. these are stunning pieces.
