Reborn One Hundred Nightingale from Gundam Char's Counterattack Novel Updated

Bandai just recently revealed they are creating a new category for Gundam model kits called Reborn One Hundred with the goal being to combine the detail of a Real Grade kit with the 1/100 scale of a Master Grade. Unlike Master Grades, it does not have an internal skeleton but has the same finish of a more complex kit. It appears that their first project is the infamous Nightingale from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children, the novelization of 1988 animated film. This hulking Mobile Suit replaced the Sazabi in this version of the story. The Nightingale is equipped with a huge beam rifle and shield. Coming September 2014 for 8,000 yen (without tax).

Ooh, I love the Gundam

Ooh, I love the Gundam Mk.III. This has potential. I've been getting back into Gunpla recently so this is nice.

Picked a Good time

You really picked a good time to come back to the Gunpla!

I want to think that video they've got frozen in this image says "in 1990s we made High Grades of 1:100 scale, full of detail but with simplistic engineering" and now we're getting the best of that grade quality in this scale again but with modern technology and better parts separation.

It's the perfect alternative to making Master Grades for suits that have been deemed impossible such as the Kshatriya and the Nightingale is the perfect example for just how massive it's supposed to be. This also goes back to what I was speculating with the announcement of the Neo-Zeong that Bandai's not afraid to make bigger models again, maybe even meaning we'll see more Mobile Armors in the 1:144 scale. I know everyone wants them in 1:100 scale, but let's be realistic.

The GP04 is a surprise too, but I'm excited!

Someone else I was talking to pointed out there's an image of the Hi-Nu Gundam next to Nightingale, if it's not a "Version Ka" then I'd like to see it be either a Real Grade or the next in the R-100 line, maybe to the original designer's look.
