Soul of Chogokin Mazinger Z Chogokin 40 Anniversary Version

Bandai is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Chogokin brand with a slew of SOC repaints! First up is the robot that started it all, Mazinger Z! This repaint of the improved GX-01R toy features a striking metallic paint scheme. It comes with the Hover Pilder, Jet Pilder, Jet Scrander, Iron Cutters, launching body missile, and firing Rocket Punch accessories. Set for release December 2014 for 9,180 yen.

The GX-01R with the GX-01R+ head... and metallic paint

Bro, the MSRP is actually 9,180JPY.

I'm getting this hybrid, but I'm not diggin' the metallic finish. The metallic flakes on the paint are HUGE! Look how crappy the "metallic blue paint" on the face looks, not to mention the horrible metallic gold on the horns... :(
