UPDATED New Soul of Chogokin announcements

Soul of Chogokin GX-51 Getter Dragon from Shin (not New) Getter Robo - 7,875 yen due 11/25
Based on the Getter Dragon appearance in the 1998 anime Getter Robo Armageddon, this is the Mass-produced Getter Dragon seen in the first few episodes. (as seen here. This will utilize the same joint system as the GX-45 for maximum articulation. 190mm tall, includes getter robo, tomahawk, Mach Wing.
Soul of Chogokin GX-50 Com-battler V - 18,690 due 12/25 (This is a new version)
Soul of Chogokin GX-49 Shin Mazinger Z - 7,500 Yen due 9/25 (this one has the wing that transforms into the fist)

I also wonder what's so different between GX-18 and GX-51.
The GX-51 is a different getter dragon design - more modern, angular and updated. Think of it as a "Shin" version Getter Dragun.

Now it seems obvious to me, though I still prefer the old school one, unless buying a few hundred thousand of these can evolve into that huge getter dragon shown in the 2nd & last episode :)
why does Bandai keep beating the same dead horse, how many versions of Mazinger and getter 1 does a collector need...how about some Spaceketeers (Starzinger) soul of chogokin. Also why do they keep re-releasing all previous robots like Voltes V and Combatra...makes you feel like an idiot for buying the first version...and a total moron if you paid more than its original price because you thought it had sold out. I have seriously soured on SOC as of late
GX-45, GX-47 and GX-49 will all be Mazinger Z, or variations of Mazinger Z. I like Maz but I don't need that many varitions of that character. And you know, Bandai will probably pull something like, putting all three in one box and sell it at a set or something at 30% cheaper. Combattler V and another Getter Dragon? I'll pass, I already have these already. But I guess they are satisfying those old collectors that don't like any other Super Robots except for the Classics. How bout bringing new classics robot that has not been release in recent time, like Dairugger XV. Or getting license on new Super Robot combiners, like God Gravion or Daigaioh, both of which has not have a Die Cast release.

Another Combattler V?! But maybe it's more robust and solid. No tranformation, I guess.
Another Shin Mazinger that transforms into the fist - why not released like this in the first place - I feel cheated, bad feeling indeed Bandai!
Another Energer-Z: Well maybe this might be interesting as I missed the 40th Anniversary issue.
Big-O: Wow, very impressive robot but I'll pass. Never seen the anime.
Swordfish II: Sounds interesting but I'll pass too.
Now how about a Daitan 3, a Daltanious, an Albegas, a Daikengo and a God Sigma.
That would be very kind of you but maybe you intend to be so altruistic as to let CM's take care of those. Well in that case I won't be disappointed at all since they will soon release a Gordian and a Balatack!!!!

What happend to Daitarn 3? Its been in the works sense before Diamos and keeps getting pushed back. As long as it eventualy gets released, I'll be happy. But it is pretty disappointing :(
Well, even though I did not love the Shin Getter Robo series you can never have enough Getter Dragons. Commbattler, eh, whatever. Big O, hated that design from the first time I saw the show. Energer Z, again, eh. Shin Mazinger with the fist, while I agree this should have been part of GX-45 I still think it looks awesome, definitely will pick this up. Hope the stand accommodates it in fist mode. Swordfish II, pretty near... always a big fan of Cowboy Bebop (and Lupin the 3rd which I swear it's just a copy of).
BUT....
I have to agree, where are the new designs? where is GOD SIGMA??!??!?!??!?!
have to admit after all my bitching they look cool and I might buy, but for sure I am going to wait and wait, they always re-release every two seconds and they come down in price.
Well, nothing new on Daitarn I guess, what gives? It better kick serious butt when it comes out. There are only a few robots I'd pay serious money for and I wish would get done soon. Daitarn, Dairugger, Golion (would love to see what Bandai could do with him) and Daltanius
but watching a gazillion versions of Mazinger released makes me cringe when there are other robots waiting to be renewed

Gx-49 should have been released in place of gx-45. Energer is as tiny as Shin Maz, they're doublinf the revoltech line in diecast, seriously, how many people care about these?
Combattler V is the most unexpected, I suppose it's the first time that a restyling gets a NEW code number. Well, two for that matter. Rumors are that there will be 2 choices: GX-50 and GX-50s, the latter comprising Nanbara Base. It will transform, have transparent cockpits and improved posability, especially in the legs.
All in all, a good restyle, surely can't beat a Daitarn or a Daltanious...
Daikengo, that' be a dream...
And let's just not mention all the other fantastic products they surrendered to Cm's and the like...
I (re-)got into this because of the SOC line. Is it time to move over?
After looking at that combattler pic over and over, I now really want it.
