Modern gokin is wearing thin with me, but to this I say "Oh Hell Yes!"
If his name is blue jet, why is he red.... maybe they should have called him red jet.
Because Japan pop culture has funny definition of cool sounding names. In the modern times, look no further for the example than Captain Marvelous from Gokaiger. Name: Captain. Last name: Marvelous. Makes sense, no? Fewer and fewer shows defend from this odd ritual nowadays.
The sky is blue. Therefore, Blue Jet, because he is a Jet who flies in the Blue (sky).
I'm pretty sure this is the best a transforming toy from the Machine Robo line has ever looked.

I believe this figure is actually based on a Garage Kit by Burivary System. I actually sold my kit to Prometheum5. It's not actually fully transformable as you swap out parts to achieve the jet form.
I've stared at those pictures for more than a while and, for the life of me, can not get that robot to fold up into that jet mode. The legs look too long and the headpeice is shorter than the Jet cockpit/nosecone.
Parts swapping would neatly explain things...
It looks like only the legs change into the jet.
