Sneaker wearin' Basketball playin' giant robots.
Well, ok then. This toy is from an anime series called Basquash in which people pilot giant robots, wearing nike sneakers, to play basketball. Sounds logical to me.
The top of Big Foot Player Basquash is designed like a car, with a pilot inside, while the feet wear removable Nike brand sneakers.
15cm tall, made out of ABS / PVC, due September. Nike Convoy and Megatron sold, why not this?

The show is a lot of fun, though you really do have to put on your "Suspension of Disbelief Helmet" to really enjoy it! The robots are cool and each one is different from the last. I'm looking forward to this toy and hope they make others from the series! Check it out, there are worst ways to waste 30 minutes!
Nike, huh? I think on principle this show/toy line should be boycotted... :P

Do you think it would be in bad taste on Cartoon Network's part if they decide to air Basquash! on Adult Swim after cancelling Megas XLR?
If so, that would be an appropiate time to go on a permanent viewer's strike.

Mmm...applying morality to an industry with no morals sounds like folly to me. The issue of "taste", I think, is irrelevant regardless of what we think. I mean, the f-in' fact that these toys are clearly a marketing tool for Nike is loathsome enough. But I guess folks don't really give a poop about repeated human rights violations...
