HL Pro Metaltech 06 Z Mazinger
Hot on the heels of Evolution Toy's Z Mazinger announcement comes word of HL Pro's version of the little-known Go Nagai creation. Z Mazinger comes from a 1999 manga that re-imagines the story of Mazinger mixed with Greek gods.
Odd to see two companies releasing high-end toys of the same characters at the same time. The license must have just become available.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I'd love a Chogokin Govarian and a Chogokin Jim Mazinga myself and accompanying Jun Hono figure with him (Cause' if I remember correctly, she appeared as a Biker in Violence Jack, Right?)...But the crowner for me is if they make a USA exclusive of the 1988 OEL Mazinger manga with the Mazinger that sorta looks like the beginning of MazinKaiser and wips out a Sword and missiles out of his body!
Oh the possibilities...
HL Pro is the only company offering Z-Mazinger as a high-end toy.
Evolution Toy's Z-Mazinger offering is a Garage Kit (GK), limited to only 90 kits, and only available at this year's Summer WonderFest.
Enough. Seriously, enough of Mazinger.
So many robots deserved toy immortality yet they continue to make a cash cow out of this.
