Whoa, you're right- that

Whoa, you're right- that is out of nowhere! And about three months-late at that; "Go-Onger" ended in January.

What surprises me, however, is why they made this. Usually there is one major repaint, and that's it (the Power Animals line from "GaoRanger" notwithstanding). For "Go-Onger", that was the DX Engine Gattai Engine DaiShogun. Why, then, would they turn around and make another?

Why make a Black repaint of

Why make a Black repaint of a character that's already black?

Actually, I just noticed

Actually, I just noticed that they added gray to both Birca and Gunpherd.

My guess would be that Bandai is taking advantage of the fact that there already is so much black on those three that they don't have to change much other than eliminate the orange, green, and silver.

One thing may be eluding me on this, and that is that I haven't finished watching "Go-Onger" yet. If this repaint appears in the series, then it would make sense why it was made. What doesn't make sense, though, is why they would have released it so late?

I saw the gray as well. the only reasons i could possibly think of is that it's a better design, some weird special episode that's coming up,or it's a super mode that no one knows about.

Nop, it's just a repaint.

Nop, it's just a repaint. Never been in the show.
Maybe bandai try to capitalise on the american audiance, since many of us wait to see what the US release version of the toy look like before buying (or not) an original version. That added with the already existing Japanese fanbase would be a decent occasion for extra income.

"Awww man, that's one ugly zord..." Tommy about BA Drivemax Megazord.
