DX Chogokin Macross Frontier series
Bandai announces Macross Frontier toys at WonderFest - first up is a very rough prototype of the 1/60 Perfect Transformation DX Chogokin VF-25 (Alto)
Looks cool.. just think of the words in combination
DX
CHOGOKIN
BANDAI
MACROSS
It sends shivers down my spine.
Second in the line will be the VF-25 (Ozuma).
Yamato is also putting out a Minmei figure as part of their VMF line...

No more test pilots or goofy music weapons. A f***ing war with aliens and desperate battles is what I've been wanting since DYRL.
Since "Macross" came out in the '80s, the only Valkyrie I've really been able to sink my teeth into was the VF-11 Thunderbolt from "Macross Plus". I view the VF-11 as the only really acceptable successor to the original VF-1 series. All the others- including this brand new VF-25- just don't have the same flare.
Well, I take that back- the VF-2SS from the alternate-universe "Macross II" was pretty wicked... and far better than its successor the Metal Siren! The SAP for the VF-2SS was also a very worthy successor to the Strike armor from the original series.

Yeah the VF-2SS is one my favs too (as well as VF-4).. But I'm just glad they're bringing out toys of different designs. I'm so sick of seeing the VF-1* series being rereleased or made by another company.
The Zero designs were interesting too.. a bit flimsy looking but neat anyhoo..
I'd buy a bandai chogokin over a yamato release anyway. I like the chogokin quality and the price is better to boot.
