4 comments postedThough overpriced, and lacking a wakizachi (and definable thighs), I thought it was very respectable for a triple-changer of the limb-swap era. And it was my favorite of the entire DX transforming Origami line seeing as it was the only one that was what it claimed to be- that is, well, origami!
Here, I even made a review of it: DX Samurai Gattai Shinken-Oh
I do wonder, with that price, how close to the original Japanese release this will be, since back in 2009 when it came out it was about that price in dollars off the shelf without S&H.
I never knew that the Japanese version had such superior image quality while having such a low response time!
Seriously though it's cool that Bandai is capitalizing on older Toku fans by releasing higher end stuff like this and the S.H. Figuarts in mass retail.
From the description on the product page, tt looks to be the exact same as the Japanese version. I guess I will find out if this is true when I get mine next year.
I have this one and it is one of my favorite super sentai mechas of all time. Though it lacks thighs, it makes up for it with the folded spirit mode. A better purchase than the US version.
