Bome's Sexy Anime Styling Soars with New Statue
The anime and manga motifs are hotter
than ever, as displayed through the new Bome: Halloween-Chan Figure, available
exclusively in North America through Diamond Comic Distributors!
Bome is a famous Japanese sculptor who, for many years, created popular
garage kits (home-made kits or statues, often created in the garage or workshop,
that are made in small, limited numbers), and then went on to work with Japanese
toy manufacturer, Kaiyodo. Most well-known for his sexy, anime-style women,
Bome is regarded as a "fine artist" by his many fans, and
even hosted an exhibit of his works in early 2001 in Paris, France! Now, fans
of sexy anime and alluring art can exhibit their favorite artistic styling
with this new figure.
Imported from Japan, this floating Halloween-Chan measures approximately 6
1/2" tall (with no articulation) and is the fourth figure in the "Monsieur
Bome Collection." Scheduled to ship in April 2005, this is one
figure that no import toy collector or anime/manga fan will want to be without.
Classic Game Celebrated through King of Fighters Statue
A brand new statue depicting a fan favorite character from the classic video
game, King of Fighters '97, will hit stores this spring, and it is available
in North America exclusively through Diamond Comic Distributors!
King of Fighters is one of the longest-running fighting-style video game series
of all time. Since the first game in 1994, King of Fighters has released a
new game every single year to continue the story with which fans of the franchise
have become enamored. Past statues based on characters from the various King
of Fighters games have attracted the long-standing fans of the games, and this
newest statue offers fans and collectors the chance to add to or begin a collection
of highly detailed, action-posed King of Fighters characters.
Imported from Japan, the King of Fighters '97: Mai Shiranui Vinyl Statue captures
the beloved character in an aggressive, kung fu pose. Made of high quality
PVC, this pre-painted statue was sculpted for Kotobukiya by Hironori Tokunaga,
and stands approximately 9" tall (1/7 scale). Scheduled to ship in May
2005, this statue is a can't-be-missed collectible for fans of video games.
Calling All Kamen Riders
Two new action figure series based on one of the most classic Japanese hero
franchises, Kamen Rider, will soon be available in North America through Diamond
Starting around the same time as Ultraman, the Kamen Rider series is every
bit as long-lived and prolific as the silver giant! Created by Shotaro Ishinomori,
Kamen Rider was the first "henshin tokusatsu," where the hero morphed
from his normal identity to his superhuman one. Since the first show aired
in Japan in 1971, the Kamen (or "Masked") Rider series has featured
20 different incarnations! The influence of the show has carried over through
generations, and now fans of the series and related shows can add all new Souchaku
Henshin (transforming armor) Kamen Riders to their action figure collections.
Imported from Japan and coming from Diamond Comic Distributor's new partnership
with Bandia Japan, both the Kamen Rider Souchaku Henshin Classic Action Figures
and Kamen Rider Souchaku Henshin Modern Action Figures contain 5" tall
action figures that feature incredible articulation, removable helmets, and
some even contain die-cast armor pieces. Not available in Mass Market outlets,
each Kamen Rider figure includes character-specific accessories and weapons,
and comes in an illustrated window box package. The Classic (1970s) series
includes Kamen Rider (1971), V3 (1973), Amazon (1974), and Stronger (1975).
The Modern (2000+) series includes Blade (2004), Faiz (2003), Kuuga Mighty
Form (2000), and Ryuki (2002). Scheduled to ship in May 2005, these are two
action figure sets that no fan or collector should be without.
Fist of the North Star Figure Set is a Knock Out
From The Fist of the North Star, one of the most action-packed manga and
anime series ever, come an awesome new figure set, available exclusively in
North America from Diamond Comic Distributors!
Considered to be one of the greatest anime series of all time, Fist of the
North Star set a precedent for the action and martial arts anime to follow.
It tells the story of a ruined Earth, filled with deadly toxins, radiated mutants,
and death around every corner. Hope comes from the North Star, and the practitioner
of Hokuto Shinken, Kenshiro. Martial arts madness ensues as Kenshiro must fight
battle after battle to bring light to a world faded into darkness. Now, fans
of the series can collect one of their favorite villains and his faithful steed,
with the Fist of the North Star: Roah & Horse Deluxe Action Figure Set.
Imported from Japan, the Raoh PVC figure stands 7" tall and features
articulation at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, thighs, and knees.
The figure was sculpted by Ken Matsuura for Kaiyodo, and comes with variant
hands, weapon, cloak, and helmet. The black horse, Kokuoh-Go, was sculpted
by Hiroshi Katayama, stands 8" tall and 12" in length, and has 17
points of articulation. This deluxe figure set includes a wooden display base.
Scheduled to ship in February 2005, these are two figures that no fan of Fist
of the North Star will want to be without.
Trigun Express Continues with New Figure
The newest figure in Kaiyodo's popular line of Trigun/Toy Tribe action figures
is about to be released, and Diamond Comic Distributors is pleased to bring
it exclusively to the United States!
Trigun is one of the hottest anime properties
on the market today. The hit show has satisfied its fan base with a popular
product line that includes videos, DVDs, T-shirts, statues, and actions figures.
The Trigun action figure line has been one of the most popular product lines
in recent memory, with Vash the Stampede, Nicholas Wolfwood, and Monev the
Gale. Now, from Yasuhiro Nightow's hit Trigun/ Toy Tribe line comes the latest
addition, the Gazelle the Peacemaker Action Figure!
Imported from Japan, this figure is an original creation of Nightow, and not
a character seen in the manga or anime, but has all of the smoking-gun flavor
as the previous Trigun action figures. Measuring approximately 9" tall,
Gazelle features over 30 points of articulation (including his hair!) and includes
a giant Transforming Pistol, which can be broken down to its component parts,
including a "magazine" fully loaded with missiles! Also included
are metal chains to strap the weapons on Gazelle's back, as well as a sculpted
display base that features the head and shoulders of a fallen foe, allowing
Gazelle to be displayed in a myriad of action poses. Scheduled to ship in March
2005, this will be one figure that no serious collector or fan will want to
