This is interesting news, but

This is interesting news, but be wary, it still says "Pending Licensor Approval". So it's not a done deal yet.

Thanks for posting. I was lucky enough to get one before they disapppeared. I am super excited to get another especially if they have this new bright color scheme. Fingers crossed. Please baby Jesus I need another Voltron.

Meh.

It would be funny if this news turned out to be fake and WEP sues Madtoys instead for not paying royalties.

But if WEP does approve of this and if the toy passed QC standards then I will support this product.

So then why the "Meh" ? If

So then why the "Meh" ?

If you like the product, like Voltron, you've seen Josh's review.... Seems like more of a "Yeah" than Meh.

Part of me

Part of me feels that this might be like the Miracle Productions' Vehicle Voltron fiasco...someone releasing a third-party Voltron toy with QC issues as well as having lack of feedback from their part when their customers complain about some defects from their product. I was not particularly impressed with Madtoys' version of Voltron in the first place.

But I will admit that the recolored version of this possible legit release of Madtoys' Voltron looks nice. A small part of me hope this "deal" is not just words and pictures that will stretch from weeks to years.

Man my copy is outstanding.

Man my copy is outstanding. I really can't think of any issues. I know the company had shit for communications but considering the circumstances it's understandable. Just so I am on the same page you own the toy?

Infinity Lion Force

I have the original release, so I am sorta bummed that I can't get this one. It is my favorite mech toy seconded POSSIBLY by my SOC GaoGaiGar... though the Golion is a far sturdier figure I think. Although GGG is damn syurdy too. Both took unfortunate shelf dives(both my fault :( ) and neither got so much as a scratch. I kinda thought this might happen with this getting a legit release cos its lightyears better than that crap Toynami one. I get that people want a more cartoon accurate version but this set looks better than the Toynami one except for no bicep swivel. Oh, relarively new guy here btw. *edit* Just now noticing all the slight changes to make it more anime correct without altering the overall design asthetic... damn, may just have to double dip now.

Now I bascially just put mine

Now I bascially just put mine through a QC check and reboxed him cause I thought I might not get another shot at a second. But are you sure on the no bicep swivel? I thought I remembered it and it was very tight.

Bicep Swivel on Golion

The forearms swivel, and its tight. There is also an ab crunch on Red and Green that can also have use for forearm movement. But no bicep swivel. I mess with my figures every now and then, and yeah. None. You must be thinking of the forearm. I read on a toy site who's name escapes me that some guy tore apart Green and Red and reversed the waist joints to make them have a bicep swivel, but no way would I try that on something like this. I did do that with my giant Trendmasters set, but that was(at the time) a $60.00 set.

You're right it's the forearm

You're right it's the forearm swivel. That would be a nice upgrade. Well either way I am getting another one. I can't bring myself to mess with my only one. Plus I am glad other Voltron fans might get a shot at owning one.

Double Dipping On This

Yeah... the more I look at this new version, the more I want to double dip. The coloration, the tweaks to make it an official Voltron... I am starting to like it more than the first version!
