I am excited but... another Mazinger? Seriously if the Mazinger collection I have fell over on me I would be dead. Old man dies under pile of robots.
for some reasons, I want more Giant Robo figures since there's a huge gap for Poor Robo (There's pretty much no Manga versions of GR-1 :(.). we got enough Mazingers so why not?
Haha! D I know what you mean but what gets me excited is that this will be something worth owning. What'll set it apart is the design style threea being to the table. For me it's one of these figures, I have to make space for.
the grapic says threezero, not threea :D
yes, yes i'm a nitpicking nerd :P
(although i remember that ashley wood said he was going/wanted to design a mazinger, so i'm not really sure why this doesn't appear to be under the threea banner)
Oh I am going to get this I just can't believe the amount Mazingers. I just bought the SRC Chrome Tamashii release and the Machinder color SRC not to mention the DX version earlier this year (x2)
@aynar doh! I meant threezero ha p
What's the difference between them anyway???
kim fung wong is the owner and founder of the toy company known as threezero (i think 'threezero' was his toy designer nom de plume as well).
threea is the toy company set up and owned by ashley wood and kim (threezero + ashley wood).
it's two separate toy companies but it IS easy to mix them up :D
i thought it would be a 3a toy myself, as previous comments on the 3a forum indicated ashley wood was designing mazinger. but the graphic above leads me to believe that i was mistaken. or maybe it was always a threezero production and ash was only brought on as an 'independent' designer'
What happened to the 3A Legion Outpost? The URL I bookmarked (www.threeaonline.com) redirects me to ThreeA's official website (World Of 3A at worldofthreea.com) and I don't see any link to any forum in there. Did they take them down? I couldn't find any info on this on the web.
Awesome thanks for the heads up! :)
I think one thing for certain is they're cut from the same cloth in terms of their left field projects and quality of the design/paints apps etc.
very exciting stuff I've seen from them and makes a change to the generic stuff Hot Toys have ended up doing. IMO of course!
i'm the reverse - i've become a bit disillusioned with threea. i still like the toys but i've found myself passing up the newer releases more and more...
maybe it's because i'm up to my ears in 3a bots and figs at the moment and need to downsize :/
I had quite a few of these at one time, and eventually I got sick of their methods, the high cost of the toys, and, frankly, the smell. So, I divested myself of my collection. It's nice to see them branching out into different areas of toy-making though.
I cannot wait to see more of this. I'll almost certainly be picking this guy up, as long as his price is close to what the Full Metal Ghost figure is going for.
These guys have been answering some questions on Facebook. Looks like it'll be plastic and stand at roughly 16 inches tall.
I like it, but it looks more like a patlabor mixed with something from Xabungle than a super robot. If the hips weren't so utilitarian styled I would appreciate the design more personally
true but keep in mind, if Mazinger Z was a real mecha then that's what it would most likely look like. I personally like the design but I agree about the Hips being messed up
Slightly underwhelmed seeing it in proto form but still an instant purchase regardless.
Not. Another. One. AGAIN... @_@
I was interested till I saw those weird hips. This is not a well proportioned looking robot.
I've actually got no problems with the hips. It has that ste
Punk design aesthetic which works for me.
Can't wait to PO this beast. It'll look boss flanked by my Fewture Mazingers D
Ummmm...
I am so so getting this..
Finally something different and unique...
Wow
wow.
I can just picture the Mazinger Z purists puking every time they look at this... their loss : ) But for the rest of us... oh my... what a beauty! A giant super robot, that's also art.
