Batsh the Black Knight from Five Star Stories

Wave is creating another high end resin kit of a beautiful Mortar Headd from Five Star Stories. This is Batsh The Black Knight. Its name is sometimes written as Batshu or Vatshu and has origins in the mecha of the same name from Heavy Metal L-Gaim. This is a resin kit that requires glue and paint to complete. It will stand about 17 cm tall when completed. Coming January 2014 for 30,000 yen.

It never ceases to amaze me

It never ceases to amaze me the level of technical detailing put into each and every Mortar Headd. With all the engineering and imagination put into them, it's no wonder we haven't been able to make one yet.

What we need is a upper scale

What we need is a upper scale robot spirits line of these...well well overdue.

Seconded.Pre-assembled,

Seconded.

Pre-assembled, pre-painted, ABS and PVC plastics (hold on the die-cast for later special editions), banners included, don't go [as] wild with internal mechanics or removable cockpit hatches, swappable hands, maybe a special edition could have LEDs in the eyes (an LED Mirage... get it?), double-axis neck, waist, ankle, shoulder and elbow joints, and of course a display stand. Make the biggest ones about 9" tall.

Oh, and chances are a figure like this of the two Jagd Mirage(s) would never happen (even though that would be epic on a grand scale).

Yeah, I could get into that...

I don't really think robot

I don't really think Robot Spirits could do these designs justice... they are just too detailed. Riobot would probably be more suitable given their superior detailing and functionality. They tend to focus on more obscure licenses, so why not FSS? I think Nagano might even approve.

However, the most ideal would be ThreeA. After seeing their work on those massive Real Steel figures, I'm certain they could pull off a fully-articulated and mechanically functional (i.e. pistons) Mortar Headd. Like pre-built Master Grades.
