Artfx+ Justice Leauge Batman (New 52)

I'm not a hardcore comic fan or anything, so if anyone is they can correct me but... isn't haveing Batman, the Master of the stealth attack and intimidation tactics, wear a shiny silver costume sort of... counter productive? It's a really cool design and all but... silver?

From what I understand in the New 52 the suit is supposed to be armor plated like in the films. I think that's what they are trying to present here. It does seem super shiny though...
