Mazinger Z to be released in America by Discotek Media

Discotek Media announced via their Facebook Page that they will be releasing the entire 92 episode run of the original Mazinger Z series, with English subtitles, towards the end of 2013. Price and exact release date TBD.

Also announced was the original Cutey Honey

Not Totally Impossible

Discotek is releasing Samuraii Pizza Cats both with the Sabin dub and the original Japanese with subtitles.
Since the two are nearly separate shows with separate plots and scene progression, a Tranzor Z seems entirely possible.

This is just idle speculation, however.

Pipe dreams

For a long time, I thought releasing Fist of the North Star in it's entirety in the US was a pipe dream.

Then it actually happened.

Then I thought the same with Mazinger Z.

Now that's happening too.

I guess the universe really is infinite - nothing is unpossible!

Will this be paving the way for Great Mazinger and UFO Robot Grendizer? Maybe even Getter Robo?

Hell, I'd love to see someone (and by someone, I suspect Discotek) license all of the old Force Five shows just to put a sock in the mouth of a certain someone...
