12 comments postedWow, many interesting prototypes for the SRC line. To see some "unusual" super robots like Giant Robo and Tetsujin 28 FX is really nice.
If memory serves, last year they had already shown the SRC GekiTohja. To see it again, I think this time it's gettin real! Can't wait for the Sentai Stuff and Gaofighgar haha
Also, how that Chogokin X Gunpla prototype is supposed to work? The whole parts-trees are made of metal? If yes, I'd like to see someone build it, would be awesome haha
I'm guessing metal colored plastic runners, and metal accessories.
What was the last Spec release they did? I had sort of given up that line for dead. I don't quite get why Dragonar gets as much merchandise as it does, but at least the designs are likeable.
The Rocket Punch is a collaboration with Nihon Tungsten. It's, uh, made out of tungsten.
Anyway, Mike Sounders!!!
They keep teasing King J-Der!
Just announce it already!
They can even split it into two releases: J-der and all the effect parts in one box and the J-Ark alone in another to keep the costs per box down while still giving us a big machine. They're clearly makeing a killing off the King of Braves and his companions since they seem to be releasing every last blasted one of them... ignoring King J-Der is like throwing money down the drain.
Not sure what that is, but it's Mazinger related. The sign below it says Rocket Punch, and I can't read the whole sign but it has to do with "rare metal"? Something about a super alloy. Not sure if it is a real project or not.

See above. It's a tungsten rocket punch.
As a gunpla builder, I'm 110% curious how to cleanly remove the parts out of the sprues,
The plates might all be under-gated like the HGUC Delta Gundam to minimize sprue marks. I'm more concerned with how we're supposed to cut them free in the first place. Something tells me nippers and a hobby knife won't be very effectice on metal...
I'm also wondering if they're going to forego poseability entirely, or include ratchet joints because polycaps are no match for that kind of weight.
In the link that sdsichero posted (http://gigazine.net/news/20121026-products-tamashii-nation-2012/), the blogger says that the kit itself is regular old gunpla. The metal is in the accessories.
That's much better. Not a new concept though as there are a lot ot metal accesories from third party fabricators. However, if they make the inner frame entirely metallic and sprue free, that would greatly improve the poseability and articulation, plus I think the kit would be more durable.
BIG-O..... Can't wait for that one and Gaint ROBO is looking very very nice. I was hopeing 2013 was going to be a cheap year... guess i was wrong.
But that Disney thing is just a mess... My eyes can't focus on it. Theres just to much going on with it...
