I Voted in the Power Rangers Survey!

I Voted in the Power Rangers Survey!

It was actually quite more thorough and detailed than I was expecting. I suspect Saban is fishing for information regarding potential DVD sales, and some kind of focused interest towards older collectors (Super Sentai is mentioned specifically twice, which PR's target audience would have no knowledge of). There was a lot of 'which show was your favorite and why', 'where did you first hear about it', and- what impressed me most- 'what draws you to PR'. I also liked that they provided generous spaces for "Other" answers in a lot of areas (which I took full advantage of).

I'd say this survey is definitely worth filling out, but you only get to do it once.

Me too

I took the time to fill out the survey, and I'm pretty sure that it was aimed at collectors and an older audience. Liked that they included Super Sentai and Gundam in the survey.

Kind makes me wonder what

Kind makes me wonder what they're going for with this survey. I can't say that I had a lot of input, since I mostly gather this toys on the secondary market, but it's interesting to consider the massive amount of product and the huge impact the series has had.

More recently it seems they've been going after the kids from twenty years ago, with most of that stuff currently being found in the clearance aisle at Wal-Mart. It seems to me that they could hook all of these (relatively) new adults with the domestic release of the original Super Sentai series. Maybe not. I just don't see the localizations doing the same kind of business they used to anytime in the near future.

I'll tell ya right now- if

I'll tell ya right now- if Super Sentai came on DVD and had English subtitles (or I could record the ones that TVNihon makes), I would buy them by the complete series. I think that right there would tell Toei/Saban/Disney a lot about where the fans' loyalty & money really lays.
