Super Robot Chogokin Mazinkaiser SKL (Skull) being released as a Web Shop Exclusive
Super Robot Chogokin Mazinkaiser SKL (Skull) has been announced by Bandai and sadly it is a Tamashii Web Shop Exclusive. :( Set includes the first episode of the new OVA series as well as... 8 alternate hands, large sword and stand connector.
Made of Zinc, ABS, PVC, POM and stands 140mm tall for 5,800 YEN. Due in December 2010.
Rocket punch effect is not included. That comes in the separate Weapon Set available in regular retail.

Bandai's been doing this a lot lately with making various items only available as web exclusives (Tekkaman Evil for example).
If anyone knows a way for this humble American to acquire this item I'd be very thankful to know it.
My initial reaction to this was AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, but the more I looked at it, the more I doubt this will be a complete exclusive. My thinking is that the figure/dvd combo is the exclusive, as the ad is all about the Mazinkaiser Starter Pack. I really wouldn't be surprised if this gets a widespread release.
On the chance that it doesn't, I recommend contacting Joseph at Tokyo Hunter. If you feel comfortable navigating in Japanese, there are easier ways to do it, but Joseph is great. And his fees are fairly low too, at least compared to the big deputy services. (Collection DX links to his site, so I don't feel bad about plugging him)
While I am commenting months after this news hit, I don't think there's a need to think this SRC won't be re-released in January or February or later in the year, with the official DVD release. I just realised that the DVD/BR by itself debuts the end of January- this seems to be an exclusive to catch all the fans a month early.
That Mazin is a thing of beauty, man. I really want one, and I haven't bought any Chogokin for about a year now.

There are some stores that will be selling these but if you decide to buy one be prepared to shell out 2 or 3 times the price of SRC Mazinger Z
